Business operations

The university is committed to offering top-notch instruction, encouraging research and innovation, and turning out highly qualified graduates in various technical and engineering specialties. The university controls and manages its academic programs to guarantee the provision of high-quality instruction and promote research. Additionally, UTeM supports administrative tasks, maintains its physical infrastructure, and collaborates to improve chances for teachers and students.

The network needs of the organisation

A few requirements might be taken into account to enhance the network. An increase in the number of computer network users comes first. Since UTeM's computer network users have been expanding every year, it has demand for network connectivity and services to meet the demands of every student, member of staff, and other stakeholder. Additionally, one requirement for network improvement at UTeM involves redesigning the network. This has to be taken into consideration as the current network can be insufficient and out-of-date, making it incapable of handling both the present needs and those in the future. Last but not least is the scalability and the future growth of the network. The increase in computer network users makes it important to have a design network that can manage the future growth of the network and evolving technology requirements. UTeM’s network must put the factors like bandwidth, security, requirements, flexibility, and network management into consideration to adapt to emerging technologies.
